Rholmes3412 won $3,096 TODAY in Three-Eyed Bingo

A big congratulations to lucky Gamesviller Rholmes3412, of Ocoee, FL, who scored a big win TODAY in Three-Eyed Bingo and took home $3,096 in cold, hard cash!

Rholmes3412's big jackpot isn't the only win worth celebrating today, as Zemlik83 of London, Ontario, won $81 playing Quick-Draw Poker. And there must be something lucky in the Canadian water, because yesterday another lucky Gamesviller, Susieq103 from all the way up in Woodstock, Ontario, won not $111, not $222, not $333, but a hair-raising $444 playing CatchUp Coverall!

150 Strange Buildings of the World

Topic: Weird Wire™

An upside-down house tops the list of the Village Joy's 50 Strange Buildings of the World (Part III)

We've seen some strange sights covering the Weird Wire™ here on the GV blog, but little compare to the Village of Joy's 50 Strange Buildings of the World (Part III). Among them are a pair of cowboy boots bathrooms, house boats (not houseboats, but boats that are literally houses now) in California and a conch shell house from Mexico. For more oddities and bizarre constructions check out their previous lists in Part I and Part II of the series.

Best Pet: Dusty The Concealer Of Bears

Topic: Best Pets
This week's Best Pet comes to us from Gamesviller Janet1951 of Indianapolis, IN. Meet the head cat of her household, Dusty!

Distinguishing Personality Traits

Janet1951 says, "I rescued Dusty from an alley when he was just a kitten. He is now 4-years-old and is the head cat of our household. If his sister Tabby or brother Rocky attempt to get my attention when he's near, he smacks them. It's like if he's telling them, 'No! My mommy!'. Now we have a 4-month-old Lab/Shepherd mix. When Dusty was a kitten, I gave him a little stuffed bear; he's hiding it right now so the puppy won't get it. Dusty's favorite spots are on my computer table beside me, on top of the cabinet, and on the refrigerator as shown in the photo."

Spam Bag: Vicky Tells Us Quite The Tragic Tale

Topic: Spam Bag

From time to time we get a lot of weird requests and spam mail in the GV Members Inbox. We decided the best way to deal with all the spammers isn't to just "Send To Trash" but to share in the fun of openly mocking them with you, the GV community! Today we received a very lucrative offer from Mrs. Comfort...

______

My Dear,

Please let this letter not to bring confusion to you. I know that we have not met either before but hear me from the dept of your mind. It is circumstances that made to send this to you.

I will introduce myself first to you. My name is Victoria, I lost my mother a year ago. She was poisioned to death by her associate in business. She formed a company by one Mr. Brown who poisioned her only to take benefit of the multi million venture.

I got through the records of my mother account books three weeks ago I discovered that there is a huge sum of money she deposited in a bank, which is $9,800,000. All I need from you is to do all you can to help me to get this money out of the bank. I have been to the bank where this money is deposited immediately, and confirmed the account most deligently. The bank told me that my mother informed them that the money was to be remitted to her company's costumer account abroad, which her costumer will provide to them but since then they have never heard from her nor the costumer.

1. I want you to provide an account where the money will be remitted into as my mother's costumer.
2. Make arrangement for me to leave here as soon as possible
3. How much commission you will take for rendering the assistant?

Best wishes,
Victoria

______

Hello Victoria,

Thanks for the letter. While that certainly does sound like a lot of money that could be spread around all our free game shows we've got some questions of our own. First, with this type of transaction it seems odd that you'd have to reach out anonymously for help, why not hire someone within your country for assistance? Secondly, do you have proof that Mr. Brown was indeed responsible for the death? We'd love to help but this all sounds a little like a game of Clue to us. For all we know it could have been Colonel Mustard in the parlor with the candlestick. Good luck with your escape plan!

Best,

- Oh! Ryan Kelley

Interview: Futuresfaith Wins Quick-Draw Poker, Winnings Already Spent

Topic: Members
Last month Gamesviller Futuresfaith of Columbia, SC won $136 (a DOUBLE JACKPOT because she is a GV Gold Member) in Quick-Draw Poker. We caught up with her to ask a few questions about her big win.

What was this mother-of-three's moment of victory like? And what is the meaning behind her Gamesville member name? Find out below...

Gamesville: Congratulations! What was it like when you realized you won?
First I would like to thank god and my fans... Oh, sorry that's my academy award speech. I had just said goodbye to hubby who was on his lunch break and was multitasking around the house. I was doing three or four things at once--paying the bills, taking ingredients out for dinner, hollering at my teen to answer the phone and playing Quick-Draw Poker. When I had a rhythm going I went to click 'Deal' and saw a 'Congrats!' screen. I screamed, ran into the bathroom looked in the mirror and started doing the running man.

What will you spend your winnings on?
My middle daughter starts college in the fall and the baby girl will be a senior in high school this year. I dare say the winnings are already spent.

What do you do for a living?
I'm the commander in chief for the household; I keep all things moving right along. The pay stinks and the chief could use a bath but I'm grateful to be a part of the team.

If you were stranded on a desert island what items would you bring with you?
I would have to say my bible, a roll of duct tape and a ShamWow towel. I'd be home in time for dinner for sure, lol.

What is your most treasured possession and why?
I guess I treasure my sense of humor the most, it has changed a lot of lives and saved my sanity as a military wife.

What does your Gamesville member name mean?
Nicknames hubby and I gave ourselves, he's 'Future' and I'm 'Faith'. Twenty-four years and I'm still 'Futuresfaith'.

Thanks, Futuresfaith - and congratulations again on your win!

Brilliant Blue G Turns Lab Rats Blue In Tests
The chemical Brilliant Blue G turns lab rats blue in tests

Researchers have discovered that the food dye that gives blue M&Ms their color can help mend spinal injuries. Tests on groups of lab rats concluded that the compound Brilliant Blue G blocks a chemical that kills healthy spinal cord cells around the damaged area. In the tests, rats treated with BBG were later able to walk, although with a limp, and rats that did not receive the BBG solution never regained the ability to walk. On the downside however the treatment caused the skin to temporarily turn bright blue as shown by the photo above. Learn more about this recent discovery at Boing Boing...
