Topic: Best Pets
Posted by caroline81 at 3:18 PM EDTI have to admit, I was pretty fascinated by last week's best pet, Rosie. I talked to Gamesviller Rosiestricks about her super special pup's television appearances. "I tried out for David Letterman in San Francisco. The producers fell in love with her and her tricks because she is so intelligent. The shows are actually boring to film and so rushed, but going to New York was a blast for someone who had never been there. I didn't really have any time to see the sights. On the shows, she read minds and did her math. She has done these tricks for 12 1/2 years!" With the all-new Bingo Zone debuting this week, we thought we'd take a look back at the history of the game. Here is what the Bingo Zone homepage looked like in 1997:
And take a look at how the Bingo card looked in 2000:
Here is a slightly cooler looking version of the Bingo card from 2003:
And here is the Bingo Zone logo from 2002 - the most current logo until recently:
And of course, here is the all new Bingo Zone logo, which I happen to think is the best of all. (I've always been partial to blue over orange.) Do you agree?

Play the redesigned Bingo Zone and let us know what you think! Edited to add: Thank you all for your comments and feedback about the new Bingo Zone! We are working on the issue regarding the game freezing after some wins and hope to have it resolved quickly. It is not affecting wins, however, as you can see. Thanks again! Topic: Best Pets
Posted by caroline81 at 10:52 AM EDTThis week's Best Pet is Rosie from Denair, CA. Rosie has some very special abilities, including mathematics, languages, and horseback riding. (In short, she is much more talented than I am.) Pet Names: Rosie
Pet Owner: Gamesviller Rosiestricks
Distinguishing Personality Traits: Rosiestricks says, "Rosie is a 13 year old AKC Boxer. She has been my companion since she was three weeks old. She was certified service dog for 10 years. Rosie also does school shows where she shows her mathematical abilities. She has been learning new tricks weekly since she was five weeks old, and is a dog that is smart enough to know how to be paid to work - no treat, no trick! Rosie's abilities have been passed down to a couple of her grandchildren also, but none can outdo Grandma. Rosie' s hobbies include riding on a jetski, and swimming after ducks. I take her to the lake every Thursday to swim and she will swim all day and she can ride on the back of a horse. I love this dog, and have reserved a room in the nut hospital for the year I lose her. There is no way to replace a pet like Rosie!"

Posted by caroline81 at 9:55 AM EDT Northernsoulgirl says, "I am an avid fan of Northern soul music and am often found attending various Northern soul allnighters and weekenders all over the United Kingdom. I also buy loads of original vinyl - all white label DJ copies of Northern Detroit and Sixties soul by American artists. A lot of the songs on the scene were never mainstream hits but made it big in the underground soul scene and the prices paid for the records reflect this. For example, a record called 'Do I Love You' by Frank Wilson was sold a few years ago for £15,000 ... a bit out of my league! The most I have ever paid was for a seven inch single called 'Fascinating Girl' by an artist called George Lemons for which i paid £2275, but was worth it. Topic: Weird Wire™
Posted by caroline81 at 4:36 PM EDTAll parents instruct their children to remember their names and addresses in case of emergency. Some pet owners may instruct their critters similarly, but they don't actually expect them to remember this information ... right? Well, one lost parrot in Tokyo apparently did. From the article: "I'm Mr. Yosuke Nakamura," the bird told the veterinarian, according to Uemura. The parrot also provided his full home address, down to the street number, and even entertained the hospital staff by singing songs.
