Guy Has Glasses Tattooed On His Face

Topic: Weird Wire™

We're not really sure what compelled this man to do it--maybe he's starting the first great fashion trend of 2010? Whatever his reason this man decided it'd be a great idea to permanently tattoo a pair of glasses onto his face. We hate to point to the negative in this momentous fashion breakthrough but shouldn't you know you're making a mistake when even your tattoo artists asks, "Are you sure?"

Kenway54 Scoops Up $2,751 Playing Three-Eyed Bingo

Topic: Members
Three-Eyed Bingo Winner Kenway54Congratulations to Gamesviller Kenway54 of Newark, TX, who took home a $2,751 jackpot this week playing Three-Eyed Bingo.

Useless Fact!

Kenway54's hometown of Newark, TX, is a rural community located approximately 25 miles northwest of the Fort Worth area. The settlement at Newark began in the mid-1850s, when Benjamin B. Haney built a home near the waters of Burrett Creek. The first settlers referred to the community as Caddo Village because of numerous remnants of the Caddo Indian culture found along the banks of the West Fork of the Trinity River. Congrats again to Kenway54 on his big Three-Eyed Bingo win!

Randy Jackson Talks To Us About Season Nine of American Idol

Topic: Hollywood
Randy Jackson from FOX's American Idol

Welcome to Hollywood!

Grammy Award-winning producer and 20-year music industry veteran Randy Jackson will once again step behind the judges' table this week for the premiere of FOX's hit talent search series American Idol (airing tonight at 8:00 EST). We caught up with Randy last week to ask him about the changes behind the judges table and what we can expect from this season's contestants.

Gamesville:  After all these years of listening to auditions the first few weeks, are you growing more impatient with the contestants who obviously can’t sing but just want their 15 minutes?

Jackson: That’s one of the best questions I’ve had in quite some time. And, yes, I am growing a little impatient with that. You’ve watched the show, you know what the show is, you see every year somebody great wins the show. The top three or four or five or top ten people are all usually great singers and you just wonder what are they seeing that I’m not seeing? It’s like we’re not on the same page here, so, yes, I am getting a little impatient with that.

What's it been like working with Ellen?

Next week, Hollywood Week, will be our first time really sitting down with her because she didn’t do the auditions on the road. I’ve known her for quite some time, so has Ryan Seacrest, so we’re really good friends with her. I think we’re going to have a very funny, interesting season ahead of us. There will be a lot of laughs.

What do you miss most about working with Paula?

Paula is really near and dear to my heart and she’s one of my best friends. The whole thing started with me, Ryan, Simon and her, so she’s one of our best friends and still is. We look down the table sometimes and go, wait a minute, where’s Paula? I expect to hear something from my left ear and I go, wait a minute, that doesn’t sound like Paula. She’s one of my dear friends, so I wish her the best in the world.

Are you and Simon going to have the same relationship and dynamic with Ellen as you did Paula?

Ellen is different than Paula so it’s definitely going to be a different dynamic. She’s going to interact with Simon and interact with me and Kara very differently. It’s going to be a very interesting, wild, crazy, exciting season, I think.

What are this season's contestants shaping up like?

I think there’s some really talented girls that showed up this time. I also think that what changes the show from year to year are the contestants that we get. Usually whoever wins or comes in one and two, that next season of auditions you have a lot of those kinds of people. It’s almost like there was a signal to everyone at home that we like them, now it’s time to try out for American Idol. So I think we have a very interesting, unique cast that’s really only unique to this season nine. I think it’s going to be really, really exciting and very different.

Was there a particular city that stuck out for you as being just a real hot bed for talent?

For me I thought Orlando was really strange, just in terms of the talent and who came out and what was going on there. I thought it was a little strange of a place, but I think Dallas was good. I actually think probably Atlanta was one of the standouts for me, actually. I felt Dallas was really strong as well.

The premiere of American Idol continues tonight, at 8:00 p.m. Eastern/Pacific Time on FOX.

Interview: Vitomax Wins $3,333 In Three-Eyed Bingo

Topic: Members

VitomaxLast month Gamesviller Vitomax of New Port Richey, FL, won a MAX jackpot of $3,333 in the Three-Eyed Bingo.

What's the story behind her terrific win? What will see be doing with all that prize money? Find out below...

Gamesville: Congratulations! What was it like when you realized you won?
The day of my win my husband and I were supposed to attend a Christmas Party however late that afternoon I told him I really wasn't in the mood. We decided to stay home and had we attended the party I would have missed one of the greatest thrills of my life, winning Three-Eyed Bingo for $3,333!

As I stared at the computer screen and realized that with only a few more numbers to be called I only needed G57 and O74. I quickly dismissed this occurence as a simple tease but when they were both called I quickly hit the bingo button. I still couldn't believe my eyes at the congratulatory pop-up from Gamesville! I proceeded to scream to my hubby, who was reading in another room. His response to the message was 'is that in GV rewards? Not real cash?' I replied quickly with, 'no, it's real money!' Needless to say his mouth dropped open!

What will you spend your winnings on?
I have good use for the winnings especially since we are retirees living on a fixed income (and thank you Gamesville for fixing it a bit more). I have an elderly cat that I love dearly like a child who is in advanced stages of kidney failure and requires visits to the vets twice a week, so it will certainly help with the vet bills. I have literally hated the carpeting in my home since we bought it nine years ago and now I can get it replaced. Now, that's MY Christmas present.

What's your favorite month of the year?
June is my favorite month, that's when my soul mate and I married and he's still the love of my life.

How would friends describe you?
Most would describe me as honest, intense, religious, reliable and probably predictable.

What does your member name mean?
Many of the players have been curious about the fact that although I am a female my screen name is actually two male names. Vito was my tubby tabby cat who passed away last year at 16. Max is my lap-hugging fluffy friend who is the little guy that needs to make the trips to the vet.

Thanks, Vitomax - and congratulations again on your win!

Super Chef Winner Starshine276BIG congratulations are in order for Gamesviller Starshine276 of Josephine, PA, who cashed in on a DOUBLE MAX jackpot of $1,000 this past weekend in Super Chef. Now there is one member that sure got all the benefits she could out of a GV Gold subscription...

Useless Fact!

Starshine276's hometown of Josephine, PA, resides in the hills of Indiana County, the self-proclaimed "Christmas Tree Capital of the World". Christmas tree farming began in the county in 1918 and by 1960 more than 200 growers were selling in excess of 1 million trees annually. Learn more about Josephine, PA...

Congrats again to Starshine276 on her big Super Chef win! Looking forward to seeing all of you in the games this week.

Robbery Suspect In Hospital Gown Flees On Walmart Scooter

Topic: Weird Wire™

Police: Robbery Suspect In Hospital Gown Flees On Walmart ScooterA Pennsylvania man is behind bars for attempting to steal $50 from his ex-girlfriend at a local Walmart, then trying to flee the scene on a store-owned motorized shopping scooter. Thirty-two-year-old Craig David Jr., of Smithfield, PA, was charged Wednesday with robbery and disorderly conduct after being released from a hospital for injuries in a domestic dispute Jan. 1., where police say David had been hit with a frying pan and table leg. David was still in his hospital gown Tuesday night when he met an ex-girlfriend who agreed to pay for his prescription medication. Instead David had other plans as store employees reported seeing the suspect grabbing $50 from the female and scooting away in the store cart. Read the full story at ThePittsburghChannel.com...

Best Pet: From the Gamesville Team, Chris' Precious Peri

Topic: Best Pets

Chriscummings101's Peri! This week's Best Pet comes to us from our very own Gamesville manager Chriscummings101. He wanted to take this opportunity to give us the inside line on his family's precious baby kitty, the ever-loving, blue-eyed Peri.

Distinguishing Personality Traits

Chriscummings101 had this to say about Peri: "Ten years ago, Peri was abandoned as a newborn in the bushes near our house. We took her in, and she quickly won over our hearts. This prim and proper kitty loves being pampered--and will instantly take over any warm surface. This character trait is especially 'dangerous' late at night, when you're ready to go to bed, because she'll jump into your lap, curl up, and purr her little siren song, convincing you to stay put for longer than you should!"

Want to share photos of your own favorite pet with the Gamesville community?

Send photos to: members@gamesville.com

In addition to your pet's picture, please be sure to include:

  • Your Gamesville member name
  • Your pet's most distinguishing personality trait

If we publish your pet as a "Best Pet," we'll give you 5,000 GV Rewards. Submit your pet today!

Gamesville: Congratulations! What was it like when you realized you won?

What will you spend your winnings on?
Now I can purchase a Nintendo Wii for my great nephew!

What does your member name mean?
My sister gave it to me, it's short for prima donna.

What kind of game would you like Gamesville to make next?
I would like to see more games with lower, more frequent jackpots so more of the wonderful Gamesvillers can win!

Thanks, Primad38 - and congratulations again on your win!
