Best Pet: Hawkifan1936's little Boo

Topic: Best Pets
Best Pet BooThis week's Best Pet comes to us from Gamesviller Hawkifan1936 of Cedar Rapids, IA. Meet her Shih Tzu Boo!

Distinguishing Personality Traits

Hawkifan1936 says, "This is my dog Boo who will be 3 years old in February. He is a little 8 lb. Shih Tzu with a big attitude! Boo hates it when I go anywhere without him--he starts pouting the minute he sees me getting ready to walk out the door. He jumps on the bed and stays there until I return. Boo is like most dogs and hates the mail person. I used to let him pick up the mail from the front porch but not anymore because he won't give it up. I love Boo and don't know what I'd do without him. "

Iadoll7 wins $4,833 playing Three-Eyed Bingo!

Topic: Members
Party time!

Congratulations to Gamesviller Iadoll7 of Fruitland, IA, who hit it big on Friday playing Three-Eyed Bingo and will now be taking home $4,833!

Useless Fact!

Muscatine CourthouseThe city adjacent to Fruitland, Muscatine, was previously referred to as Bloomington when it was incorporated in 1839. The name led to much confusion, as there were towns of the same name in Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Indiana. Postmasters also routinely mistook for Bloomington for neighboring Burlington.

On June 7, 1849, the town’s name was officially changed from Bloomington to Muscatine, derived from the Mascoutin Indians, a Native American tribe who had originally settled on a large plot just south of the present site of the city. The name Muscatine is unique in that it is not used by any other city in the United States. Learn more about Muscatine County...

Team Gamesville visits a lucky winner!

Topic: Members

Today was a special day for the team at Gamesville! Last week Gil Ferri (Gamesville member FerriGil48) won $4,094 playing Magic 21. Gil lives only a few towns away from Gamesville HQ, so we fired up the Gamesville Prize Patrol and drove out to Andover, MA, to spread some holiday cheer.

The Gamesville Prize Patrol

Armed with a giant novelty check and some special treats (including a live check for $4,094), we knocked on Gil's door. He was very gracious, inviting us into his home and posing for some photos.

Our lucky winner Gil Ferri

Gamesville: Gil, congratulations on the big win! What was it like when you realized you won?
The win took some time to sink in because I was shocked! I've been playing at Gamesville for 8 years and have never won anything this big. I started gaming here when you offered slots that had smaller payouts; I won a couple of times, but nothing like this.

What do you do for a living?
I'm in road sales, so the games offer a nice break and help me stay sharp. I really enjoy the challenge.

Gamesville Manager Chris Cummings presenting Gil with his check

How will you spend your winnings?
This has been a godsend! With the holidays coming up and currently being  between jobs, this win has been fantastic--and it came out of nowhere! I'm planning on buying my fiance some Christmas presents and some presents for her birthday coming up.

Anything else you'd like to add?
Just thanks and have a wonderful holiday!

Gil at his desk enjoying Magic 21

Happy Holidays to you, too, Gil -- and congratulations again on your win!

Winner Interview: Louise136

Topic: Members

Gamesville PrizesGamesviller Louise136 of Leonard, ND, recently won our $200 weekly GV Rewards Sweepstakes, and took a few minutes out of her schedule to talk with us about her win.

What will she be spending her winnings on? What was the thrill of the win like for her? Find out below...

Gamesville: Congratulations! What was it like when you realized you won?
I couldn't believe I won! I was alone when I found out and saw my name on the winners list.

What will you spend your winnings on?
I think I will spend my winnings on taking my husband out to dinner and a movie. I may even buy myself an expensive bottle of perfume or something special.

What do you do for a living?
My husband and I are both retired; I spend my time cooking a lot now.

If you were an animal in the wild, what would you be?
I think I would pick a hummingbird, as they go to the tropics for the winter and never fly to Massachusetts or North Dakota.

What is your most treasured possession and why?
I love my car.

What does your Gamesville member name mean?
My member Louise136 doesn't mean anything, just something no one else might pick.

What kind of game or service would you like Gamesville to make next?
We have been playing at Gamesville since we got our first computer in 1998 and always enjoy it. We won a lot at first on Bingo Zone until the numbers were lowered and it became more difficult to win. We'd love to win again thats all.

Thanks, Louise136 - and congratulations again on your win!

Can you create the next Gamesville Hero?

Topic: Avatars

With the close of NBC's Heroes third chapter last night we're sad that we won't be able to see a new episode until the premier of chapter four next February. But having said that, we're excited to announce a heroic, new contest for you Gamesvillers inspired by the hit TV show!

Who will be the next Gamesville Hero?

In the spirit of NBC's "Create Your Hero" contest we're calling on all Gamesvillers to create a unique avatar worthy of being the next Gamesville Hero. And since we know you'll need your Heroes fix until next February, we're giving away boxed sets of the first two seasons of Heroes on DVD to the top three Gamesvillers that submit heroic avatars. We'll be judging based on originality and creativity, as well as offering bonus points to Avatars that DO NOT use GV gold-only items (see official contest rules).

Once you've created your unique Gamesville Hero Avatar on the Create your Avatar page, submit your Gamesville membername and profile URL to: members@gamesville.com

Please be sure to include:

Your Gamesville member name & profile URL
The reason your Avatar should be the next Gamesville Hero, what makes your Hero special?

If our panel selects you as one of our top three Gamesville Hero finalists we'll send you a copy of both Heroes seasons one and two on DVD, and throw in a whopping 10,000 GV Rewards. Submit your creations today!

And in case you missed it...
Catch up on the exclusive online mini-series "Heroes: Destiny"--a four part series inspired by the characters created in the "Create Your Hero" contest on Hulu. Who knows, it may provide some heroic inspiration:

Undercover Bingo?

Topic: Bingo Life

Ever wonder what it would be like to be a Bingo detective? A super bingo sleuth perhaps? If you've a keen eye and the passion for bingo then the state of South Carolina has a job offer for you!

The state is currently recruiting players to take part in bingo inspections by acting as undercover bingo players. Folks are being asked to go undercover as players to reside in games and help ensure all bingo games are in compliance with state regulations. For any Gamesvillers who reside in South Carolina this may be another opportunity to get paid to play:

But of course, you don't need to be employed the state of South Carolina (or any other state for that matter) to enjoy the multiple varieties of bingo offering REAL CASH for FREE here on Gamesville!

Best Pet: Jerseytude's little Misty

Topic: Best Pets
This week's Best Pet comes to us from Gamesviller Jerseytude of Mirror Lake, NH. Meet her Miniture Schnauzer Misty!

Distinguishing Personality Traits

Jerseytude says, "Misty is our black and silver Miniature Schnauzer.  She is the definition of the word "cuddle-bug"--always wanting to be near Mommy and Daddy.  Since Mommy works she has become Daddy's little girl.  Misty lives in the country and was trained to come immediately when called.  When you call her she quickly turns and hightails it for the back door, almost like you stuck her with a pin!  She's also been trained never to jump on anyone, so she will stand in front of you on her hind legs with her front paws crossed waiting to be acknowledged.  I can go on and on about her attributes, but hopefully you will see her adorableness in the picture."

Want to share photos of your own favorite pet with the Gamesville community?

Send photos to: members@gamesville.com

In addition to your pet's picture, please be sure to include:

  • Your Gamesville member name
  • Your pet's most distinguishing personality trait
