Today's recipe comes from Gamesviller Kpk830 who wanted to share a famous family breakfast treat, her delectable Scottish Cinnamon Oat Scones. Here's what she had to add about her crowd-pleasing creation, "I made these for breakfast this morning! I love scones but I am picky about the texture and flavors.  Some scones recipes I've tried can come out kind of bland, so I always add cinnamon and raisins or dried fruit to mine." Here's what you'll need to put together her delicious breakfast recipe:

Ingredients:

• 2/3 c. melted butter
• 1/3 c. milk
• 1 egg
• 1 1/2 c. flour
• 1 1/4 c. quick cooking oatmeal, uncooked
• 1/4 c. sugar
• 1 tbsp. baking powder
• 1 tsp. cream of tarter
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
• 1/2 c. raisins (or dried cranberries)

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 425° F. In a large bowl combine all the dry ingredients, then add butter, milk and egg in the bowl. Mix until all the ingredients are combined and stir in the raisins. Shape dough into a ball and then pat out on to lightly floured surface forming into 8-inch circle. Cut into circle into 8 wedges. Bake on greased cookie sheet 12 - 15 minutes, until golden brown.
